A Hands-On Planting Experience

Little Oak Vineyard is excited to announce the successful planting of 400 new Divico vines in 2023! This expansion marks a significant step forward in our journey to produce high-quality red wines.

The planting process was a hands-on endeavour for our team. We began by preparing the land through careful ploughing. Steve then used an orga to drill the planting holes, and together, we planted each vine by hand.

Overcoming Challenges

Initially, we faced the challenge of ensuring adequate water supply for the newly planted vines. Through diligent hand-watering and creative solutions, we successfully established the vines.

Inspired by a UK research vineyard’s success with Divico, we decided to take the leap and expand our product range to include red wine. Divico, originally from Switzerland, has proven to thrive in the UK climate.

With the addition of these 400 Divico vines, we’re eagerly anticipating the day when we can harvest and produce our first red wines. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to growing exceptional wines and further enriching the Little Oak Vineyard experience.
